Brad M. Popick is a founding member of POPICK & RUTMAN. He is a highly skilled and respected negotiator and tireless advocate for his clients. Mr. Popick has been successfully representing accident victims for more than 30 years. He is committed to obtaining the highest possible settlements.
Mr. Popick focuses on motor vehicle negligence, premises liability, municipal liability, construction accidents, wrongful death and general personal injury litigation.
Mr. Popick is a native New Yorker. He was born in the Bronx and raised in Nassau County, New York. He received his undergraduate degree from the State University of New York- College at Oneonta in 1981, graduating with honors in Business-Economics. He earned his law degree from the Washington College of Law at the American University in 1984.
After graduating from law school, Mr. Popick immediately went into the personal injury field. Early on in his career, he worked for a firm that specialized in insurance defense work. During his time at the firm, Mr. Popick learned how the insurance companies and defense attorneys view and evaluate personal injury cases. He developed a unique insight regarding the handling of accident victim’s cases from the defense perspective.
After several years of handling matters from the defense side, he felt he could make a more positive impact on people’s lives by representing accident victims against the insurance companies. For the past 30 years, Mr. Popick has dedicated himself solely to representing accident victims and defending their rights with great success. Mr. Popick has been instrumental in settling several multimillion dollar cases.
Mr. Popick became partners with Rick Rutman in 1995 and is the managing partner at POPICK & RUTMAN.
On a personal note, Mr. Popick lives on Long Island with his wife and three children. He enjoys watching Premier League soccer matches as well pro football and basketball games. He likes walking and going to the beach with his family. Mr. Popick also enjoys volunteering his time as a senior board member of the local junior soccer club.
Mr. Popick is admitted to practice law in the State of New York and in both the Eastern District of New York and Southern District of New York Federal Courts. He is a member of the New York State Trial Lawyers Association and the Queens County Bar Association.
